While most of the crew is off for the weekend, we are faithfully watching the last few first calf heifers. Hopefully they'll finish up soon, calving season always drags out forever! It's cold and windy here today which is just weird for this time of year. We'll enjoy it though as the hot weather takes a toll too!
God created the heavens and earth, all you see, all you don't see.

Happy 4th of July!
Oh man, it is a glorious Sunday morning on the 4th of July! It frosted a bit last night and now the sun is out. The horses in the meadow look so content. I am waging war on the plethora of squirrels in my yard as they've invaded my flower pots. I sent the troops out this morning (Doug w/22 rifle). I think they may have won the first battle. Hopefully it will warm up just a bit and I can finish my morning coffee on the veranda.

today..... and nothing more
Lazy days. I don't quite know what to do with them, but I'm willing to give it a try. It's 4th of July weekend and it looks like I'll have a lot of time to myself. I brought up two quilts to Bear that need binding after FINALLY getting the quilting finished. Thanks to my friend Karen and her long-arm quilting machine, the t-shirt quilt I made for my niece's graduation looks fabulous, and that victory spurred me on to finish the quilt my poor mother in law has been waiting 1 1/2 years for! All of that said, I am looking forward to a domestic weekend of quilting, hanging curtains and just settling into our summer home at Bear. I'll post some pics later...
